Training methods

EGYM machines offer several training methods that adjust how resistance behaves during an exercise, allowing users to train for different goals.

Classic 

The Classic training method provides constant resistance throughout the entire range of motion.

Benefits:  

  • User-friendly and intuitive.

  • Ideal for beginners.

Essentric-Training-Guidance.png

Eccentric 

The Eccentric training method applies more resistance while the muscle lengthens (eccentric phase) than while it contracts (concentric phase). 

Benefits:

  • Stimulates muscle growth through eccentric overload and supports tendon health.

  • Builds resilience and strength while maintaining lower metabolic demand.

Adaptive 

The Adaptive training method automatically adjusts resistance in real time, based on the members' muscular fatigue. As muscular fatigue increases, the load is reduced so each repetition can be performed without compromising form.

Benefits:

  • Stimulates muscle growth through increased muscle fatigue.

Isokinetic-Training-Guidance.png

Isokinetic (Not available in the U.S.)

The Isokinetic training method matches the machine's resistance to the member's force output throughout the entire range of motion.

Benefits: 

  • Controlled movement which results in reduced strain on joints. 

  • Ideal for rehabilitation and athletic training.

Explosive 

The Explosive training method  provides minimal resistance during initial acceleration , then increases the load as the member reaches peak velocity.

Benefits: 

  • Designed to improve explosive strength by accelerating the weight as quickly as possible. 

  • Builds power and physical performance. 

Max-Out-Guidance.png

Max Out 

The Max Out training method starts at a low resistance (35% of the strength test result). After every successful repetition, the machine increases the load by 5%. The set concludes when a repetition cannot be completed with proper form.

  • Stimulates muscle growth through increased muscle fatigue.
