Task chains
Task chains in the Trainer App let operators standardize and scale member care by defining repeatable engagement practices. Group related tasks into a sequence once, then assign the chain to members at different adoption stages—from onboarding through ongoing member development—without requiring trainers to recreate tasks manually.

What is a task chain?
A task chain is a series of related tasks that flow one after another, each triggered by the completion of the previous task. Once you assign a task chain to a member, the tasks appear on your Tasks page automatically on their scheduled dates.
Example: A new member task chain might include:
Task 1 (Direct): “Get health information, BioAge, and introduce to training plan and gym app.”
Task 2 (after 1 check-in): "Warm welcome - Questions about the app or training plan?"
Task 3 (2 weeks after task 2): “Praise & motivate - How's training going?”
Note
Each task in a chain is triggered after the previous task activates, not from the original assignment date.
Why use task chains
Task chains streamline how you engage members and ensure you never miss a touchpoint, helping you:
Automate repeatable member workflows (new member onboarding, prospective member follow-ups, measurement tracking)
Standardize your approach so all members get the same quality engagement
Save time since you set up once and use it for every member you assign it to
Common task chain uses
New member onboarding
Organize your touchpoints in the critical first weeks: homework delivery, progress check-ins, BioAge updates, and motivational messages.
Prospective member engagement
Establish relationships with potential members through a series of check-ins and advice over 3–4 weeks, ending with a conversion touchpoint.
Challenge or workout of the week
Automatically send content, updates, and reminders on your set schedule without manual effort.
Pre- and post-measurement programs
Remind trainers to collect measurements at the start, end, and check-in points of a training program.
Program and equipment launches
When you introduce a new training area, machine, or program to your gym, create a task chain to notify trainers to inform relevant members. This builds awareness of the new offering and surfaces upsell opportunities for members seeking variety.
